The Forerunners have multiple languages, one being Jagon, the most common language in the Forerunner empire. The second is simply called “Glyphs”, and the third is Digon. Jagon is a language based on symbols rather than an alphabet. Each symbol represents a word, and in some cases, two symbols can be combined to form a new word. Jagon is used on some Forerunner technology, identifying it as what it is. An example would be the Forerunner symbol for Control Panel(above) being found on a piece of a Forerunner control panel. Often, symbols can be colored to represent certain things. Jagon symbols are the primary language in the Forerunner empire. Symbols colored read often have an unsafe aspect of what they represent. Glyphs are very different from Jagon. Glyphs are used often by the Theoreticals, or used to identify specific things, such as Shield World A000-A0. Glyphs are the primary numerical language for the Forerunner empire. Digon is a language only used by the Warrior-Servants. The reason for this is because it is a military code language, and all communications between the military are in this language.
