Where normal Arks are able to manufacture Halo Installations and teleport them to distant locations, the Greater Ark is able to manufacture Arks and teleport them to distant locations. This is effective for mass-producing Halo installations. The Greater Ark holds many libraries, and contains a record of all Forerunner data and information, as well as a DNA sample of all known life.
